our mission for over 50 years. Through the years we have partnered with
most of the leading OEM’s in off-highway to produce brakes and hydraulic
actuation systems for applications ranging from agriculture and construction
equipment to lift and mining trucks. We offer complete braking systems
that extend from the foot pedal through the brake and friction material.
Our range of brake products includes service, park, emergency, full
circle and hydrostatic motor brakes, as well as hydraulic valves, actuators,
brake locks, and friction materials.
Friction Products
Understanding friction’s role in motion control is critical to developing
an effective brake system. Carlisle Industrial Brake and Friction is
unique in its position as a leading designer and manufacturer of both
friction materials and brake products. As an ISO9000 certified organization,
Carlisle produces products for such varied applications as on-and off-highway
vehicles, industrial equipment, lawn and garden equipment, and consumer
appliances. Our friction engineers have over 100 standard formulations
from which they begin the process of finding the right material for
your application. We evaluate the clutch and brake design, as well as
torque, fade and recovery requirements to select a product with the
correct friction coefficient and performance characteristics for your
needs.

hydraulic control valves to air/hydraulic master cylinders to in-line

Trailer
Brake Actuators
Industry leading Hydrastar actuators are easy to install and meet all
DOT and federal braking requirements - unlike surge brakes which are
illegal in many states. Hydrastar has improved the stopping performance
for trailers hauling boats, RV/towables, horses, cars, construction
and farm equipment, and many other loads.
