friction materials usually play a key role in almost everything
that starts and stops. Carlisle Industrial Brake & Friction
is a specialty manufacturer that makes friction products for
virtually everything except on-highway vehicles. Our product
applications run from very small parts for washing machines
and lawn mowers, to flight bars that are 35 feet long, and
the world’s largest molded friction gear tooth facings
that are 62 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick.
In addition to those applications shown at right, we supply
product for industries including agriculture, aviation and
aerospace, energy, forestry, packaging and printing, and power
